0 Comments November 22, 2019 The world of technology is living through metamorphosis while you are reading this article. Should you chase after the trends? Not necessarily or at least not without understanding what they are and how they might apply to you. In part 1 we discussed more tangible trends – changes in cloud tech and empowered edge, drones and AI. In part 2 we’ll address more ambiguous but no less important tech trends like democratization and transparency that were determined by Gartner. This category is defined as people-centric trends: 1. Hyper automation These are the solutions that can automate manual human tasks. Hyper automation goes further - automating tasks using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. In a postmodern world, hyper automation is post-machine. While people were afraid machines will take their jobs, AI is taking the machines’ jobs. 2. Multi Experience Most developers design software, databases, gadgets with the idea that people know how to use them – a technology-literate audience. That dissuades people without prior experience to use your product and limits the audience reach. Now, a significant shift to people-literate software is happening, where the piece of software should adapt to the audience and not vice-versa. Tentacle has always put the accessibility of UI/UX on the pedestal and develops its solutions with the needs and abilities of its audience. 3. The democratization of expertise Industry leaders are always trying to democratize a technology trend for the broader set of people. Technology should solve problems, not create new ones. This area will focus on four key areas: application development data and analytics design knowledge. It promises to be a change towards more access to knowledge and skills – giving way for automation of more menial tasks and paving the road for more creative and demanding jobs in the nearest future. Companies should apply new techniques and standards when looking for candidates and what can be more useful than databases and analytical tools from Tentacle. 4. Human augmentation Or technology that enhances human cognitive and physical experiences. Physical augmentation refers to: Sensory augmentation such as hearing, vision or perception Appendage and biological functions augmentation such as exoskeletons and prosthetics Brain augmentation such as implants to treat seizures Genetic augmentation such as somatic gene and cell therapy Cognitive augmentation refers to the ability to think and make decisions such as exploiting information and applications to improve learning and experiences. Considered together with multi experience and democratization of expertise, human augmentation may open a number of yet unexplored markets and audiences, while still being centred on making people’s lives easier and their environments more inclusive through cutting edge technology. 5. Transparency and traceability Everyone should’ve learned from FACEBOOK’s example of how to not handle a data crisis. With GDPR in full swing and PSD2 changing the international financial market, it is unforgivable to be shady, careless and blind to all the ways your company handles data. Transparency is not a buzzword anymore; it is a necessity and a demand from the general public. Tentacle has been banging this drum for a long while. With multiple vectors developing at the same time and regulatory, ethical and moral issue added into the mix – it is increasingly harder to navigate the world of technology. That’s why it is better to reach out to development houses like Tentacle Solutions who are setting those trends and helping others implement them. 0 Replies to "TOP 10 TECHNOLOGY TRENDS FOR 2020 (AND HOW THEY APPLY TO YOUR BUSINESS) PART 2" Got something to say?
